Got new lights for my bike since I’ve started riding around the neighborhood at night for some basic exercise. They work pretty well. I’ve already forgotten what the brand is, but they were $30 at Wal-Mart. A little pricier than the other lights they had, but I consider them a good investment.
Also had the stupid cosmetic plastic shell thingy fall off of my helmet. Apparently the only thing that holds it on is a thin strip of tape around the bottom. I think I’ll glue it back on so it doesn’t look ghetto-rigged with tape.

Nice lights, will have to check them out. Tried practicing manuals with a friend yesterday...we still suck.

Nope. Just looked them up so I could actually know. They’re apparently Zefal. Never heard of the brand but this set has 4.5 starts out of 12 reviews.

Nice ride!. I keep wanting to bring my bike to work to ride on my lunch breaks, but it’s just been too damn hot. I don’t want to come back to the office all stank and sweaty. Hoping for cooler weather soon.

*Facepalm* - to myself.
Apologies. I haz tha dumbz this afternoon.
And very nice! Specialized makes some great stuff. If I ever get the money to buy a really nice FS MTB, it’s gonna be the Specialized Stumpjumper.

100% agreed. I can keep mine in my work van but that gives me zero ability to clean up and cool down unless I take a hobo shower in a gas station bathroom. I envy those who have full work gym with shower.

I do some night riding but on trails. I spent $80 on just a helmet light. I like those much better as you can’t see the actual light in your perriveral vision and it’s always pointing where you are looking and it can shine on the gears selector

Helmet light? Hmmm, might have to look into that in the future. Unfortunately all of the trails around here are part of county or state parks and they close after sundown. So no night trail riding for me.

I’ve actually been in places after closing. I came back to my car and had a park ranger sitting in the parking lot waiting for us. I think when he saw that we obviously were not there causing trouble he didn;t care. Now I just dont park in their parking lots. I’ve parked on a nearby side street or a school up the road.

Ah, sneaky. I like it. One of the two main trails I ride is right next to a big neighborhood and the wife and I have been looking at houses there. Hopefully we can buy a house there and then I can just ride right to trail from my house and not have to worry about parking at all, lol.

Keeping it in the work van makes it even easier, lol. I have to throw on the bike rack (which is pain given how large the Crown Vic’s trunk is) and have it chained to the rack anytime I bring it to work with me, lol.

Trust me you don’t want the pleasure of a promaster. Everything fits inside it but it fits nowhere.

Lol, hey, you made it fit right? That’s all that matters! And that’s about how I feel if I ever have to parallel park the Vic (which is very rarely).
